Thank You for Your Feedback!

Thank you to the 110 of you who took time to complete our alumni survey. Your voices came through clearly, and we wanted to share what we learned and what's happening as a result.

What We Heard

Connection is what you want most. When asked about your hopes for this community, "connection" appeared more than any other word — connection to each other, to the program, to the work, and to shared purpose.

A few key findings:

  • 55% said clear communication about initiatives would help you re-engage

  • 51% are interested in virtual conversations and community circles

  • 45% want regional in-person gatherings

  • 34% expressed interest in mentorship — our top volunteer interest

  • 56 people said they're ready to contribute regularly to community efforts

We also heard that many of you feel disconnected but still care about this community. That tells us the connection is there — we just need to create better pathways to activate it.

What We're Doing

Based on your feedback, here's what's underway:

Mentorship Program: With mentorship as the #1 interest, we're developing a peer mentoring initiative to connect alumni with each other and with current students. Mimi  Wang (MPOD 17) and Kate Sawyer (MPOD 20) are leading the matching effort, and Anna Karina Smith Cain (MPOD 17) is launching a coaching circle. If you expressed interest in mentoring, expect to hear from us soon.

Better Communication: You told us you want to know what's happening. We're building out our communication infrastructure — more regular updates, a more active LinkedIn and Facebook presence, and clearer ways to learn about opportunities.

Learning Opportunities: Several of you mentioned urgent topics like AI in OD practice, leadership in polarized times, and the evolving role of OD professionals. We're exploring ways to bring alumni together around these conversations.
