Position Summary:
The Senior Consultant, Talent & OD is responsible for the execution of a variety of leadership development and emotional intelligence programs and solutions for leaders across the enterprise. This role will focus primarily on the growth and development of first-level leaders who have newly made the transition from individual contributor to people leader. This role is responsible for ongoing needs assessments and the subsequent design and facilitation of leadership development and emotional intelligence programs and other customized leadership development solutions that align with our mission and meet the needs of the business. On a daily basis, you will cultivate fresh perspectives in learning and development and see meaningful results in yourself and others!

The role offers the opportunity to deliver development initiatives at scale across the enterprise and requires close collaboration with leadership and human resources partners. The ideal candidate will be passionate and experienced in learning design and evaluation, adult development, and facilitation. 

The Senior Consultant will report to the Senior Manager, Talent & OD. Penske’s corporate offices are located in Reading, PA, 75 miles northwest of Philadelphia. All candidates must be able to travel as necessary based on demands of the role, up to 25% of the time.  

Major Responsibilities:
In partnership with the Senior Manager, Talent & OD and appropriate stakeholders:
• Designs and develops leadership development and emotional intelligence programs targeted to first-level leaders across the organization
• Responsible for engaging and managing critical stakeholder relationships from all dimensions of the organization
• Develops relationships with key business partners and subject matter experts to conduct needs assessment applying professional ISD & OD frameworks to address the needs of leadership development and/or emotional intelligence within the organization
• Delivers programs and solutions at the direction of team leadership
• Continuous evaluation and improvement of leadership development program and emotional intelligence program content and design
• Use master facilitation skills and techniques to meet participants where they are and provide a holistic development experience that leads them toward their growing edge, developing authentic leaders and instilling the cultural values of Penske

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in related area of study (i.e., OD, HR, I/O Psychology) or equivalent experience required, Master’s Degree preferred
– 2+ years of virtual and in-person leadership development program facilitation experience required
– Excellent communication, project and program management, and influence skills required
– Must have subject matter expertise in program facilitation, adult development, and emotional intelligence
-Strong working knowledge of instructional design principles and methods
– Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite of products and learning technologies
– Sincere hunger and curiosity for continuous learning and development
– Deep personal humility and strong professional will
– Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills; quickly garners credibility with senior executives as well as associates at all levels of the organization
– Professional certifications and qualifications within Leadership Development preferred
– Self-directed, problem-solver who works well in ambiguous and complex organization processes and systems
– Safeguards integrity and confidentiality of organizational and associate data and information to the highest standards
– Respects and ensures intellectual property rights and privileges are consistently safeguarded
– Candidate must consistently demonstrate successful Performance against Penske’s leadership behaviors at the level of leadership for which they seek candidacy
– Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
– Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
