Organizational Development Specialist
Penn State is seeking an experienced human resource professional to partner with HR professionals and leaders across the University to develop and deliver solutions to improve organizational effectiveness (OE). The Talent Management team at Penn State is embarking on an exciting journey focused on growing our organizational effectiveness and Talent Development capabilities to better support the University. As part of this effort, Talent Management is looking for an energetic and innovative individual who will be responsible for building the University’s organizational development function including customized, executive coaching and leadership 360 programs.
Using a range of organizational development tools and resources, this position will work with leaders to ensure they have the right systems, structures and resources in place to meet key goals and objectives. This position will work closely with HR stakeholders to gather data to understand the current workforce, processes, and organizational design needs. After conducting a thorough needs assessment, they will be asked to make informed recommendations and develop pragmatic solutions focused on increased organizational effectiveness and a work environment that promotes inclusivity and values diverse and creative perspectives.
This individual is expected to utilize appropriate assessments, training and learning resources and relevant organizational design and development methodologies to deliver results, ensuring that solutions support the overall business strategy of the unit, college, campus, and University and align with the Penn State values.
The ability to work effectively as a member of a cross functional team that may include leadership, managers, individual contributors, and various HR teams is an essential part of this position. This individual must be capable of completing a full needs assessment and facilitating stakeholders through the design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases of an OE engagement.

Typically requires Bachelor’s degree or higher plus four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
