Change Management Consultant – Zebra Technologies – Bogota, Colombia

This GMSS Change Management Lead position is a Latin America-based role. The successful candidate will employ their deep written and verbal communications, engagement, and coordination skills in a dynamic, fast-paced, rewarding environment that will often involve complex, multi-functional, global initiatives. This Change Management Lead position serves as a senior member of a team that offers ongoing opportunities for collaboration and the ability to make a significant positive impact on the success of our Services organization and our Zebra counterparts, as well as on the experience of our channel partners and end customers. While this role will frequently focus on North America and Latin America projects and changes, many of the role’s initiative responsibilities may also be global in scope.

Responsibilities

This role will focus heavily on communications to improve the frequency, quality, and depth of Service interactions and supporting materials, to inform, educate, and influence both internal stakeholders (such as the Sales and Customer Success teams) and external stakeholders (partners and key customers). Key responsibilities include:

Change Management

  • Driving awareness, understanding, and adoption of new and modified tools, business processes, systems, and job roles
  • Manage a dynamically changing set of small and large projects, as well as some ongoing areas of communications and engagement responsibility
  • Maintaining a thorough understanding of Services operations (including support, repair, contracts, renewals), product portfolio (including OneCare maintenance plans, Visibility Services), market strategy, and stakeholders
  • Understanding the impact of changes on different stakeholder groups, in order to develop appropriate communications plans and deliver effective and efficient communications and engagement activities internally and externally
  • Exercising judgment and experience to tailor the change management approach to meet the needs of a variety of project types, and apply context-specific methods, tools, and tactics
  • Representing the voice of the customer when planning and preparing communications to Zebra partners and distributors regarding Services process changes, as well as to end customer users of Zebra’s support, repair, and contracts tools
  • Working with the Global Operations & Services Transformation Team and other Zebra Teams to support change management for Services in cross-functional and company-wide strategic change initiatives
  • Collaborating with peer change managers across Zebra to drive continuous improvement in the area of change management methodologies, documentation, communications, etc.

Engagement and Communications

  • Developing and delivering project- and initiative-related communications and stakeholder engagement activities, potentially including email communications, awareness sessions, events, newsletters, videos, site banners, and posters, as well as content on intranet sites (SharePoint and The Source), extranet sites (Partner Gateway), and internet sites (Zebra.com, Support Community)
  • Applying deep understanding of Services operations, processes, and tools to anticipate and plan for change impacts across internal and external stakeholder groups – within, upstream, and downstream from changes
  • Collaborating with global and regional team members in Channel Communications, Corporate Communications, Services Marketing, Zebra Legal, Services Operations, GMSS Leadership, and other departments to coordinate content, reviews, timing and delivery of internal and external communications
  • Preparing status and overview materials for use in quarterly business reviews and similar Services operations meetings
  • Establishing and maintaining necessary internal and external communications infrastructure, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams repositories for project documents, distribution lists, mailboxes, etc.
  • May be asked to provide guidance to other less-experienced team members

Job Requirements

  • Preferred Education: BA/BS from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
  • Preferred Work Experience (years): 8-12 years

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Relevant professional experience, ideally a wide-ranging roles with change management and communications responsibilities
  • Experience in a Zebra external-facing sales or customer relationship management position with responsibility for end-to-end channel partner or key customer experience is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Zebra Services or similar portfolio and operations environments and systems is a strong plus
  • Ability to think and act strategically and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid project management skills, including ability to manage multiple, dynamic projects and tasks
  • Must be able to synthesize complex technical issues into consumable, audience-appropriate messages and materials.
  • Excellent written English and oral English presentation skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is essential, as is knowledge of one or more Latin American business cultures
  • International, multi-cultural work experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Attention to detail in content and visual presentation of materials
  • Ability to coordinate, leverage, and maximize the knowledge, skills, and efforts of others in non-reporting relationships and to achieve change management objectives in a project environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to tailor style and messages for different audiences
  • Ability to interact with maturity and professionalism with people at all levels
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Training in change management methodologies, such as Prosci ADKAR┬« model, is a plus, but may be completed early during tenure in the role
  • Experience developing training strategies, training plans, training materials, and training delivery components is helpful background but not significantly within the scope of this role
  • Additional desirable skills include SharePoint, social media management, and video creation

Position Specific Information

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 10%. (Travel of up to one week-long quarterly international trip.)
  • Working Conditions: Occasional late and early meetings are required. (The position’s primary interactions will be in Latin America and North America time zones, though occasional accommodation of EMEA and APAC time zones may be required.)

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years experience
  • Relevant professional experience, including wide ranging previous roles in change management and communications
  • Experience and training in change management and communications methodologies. Experience with Prosci ADKAR model, LaMarsh, or similar desired
  • Proven ability to work with different stakeholders and teams in a global, multi-site organization
  • Exercise judgment and experience to tailor the change management strategy to meet the needs of a variety of project types, and apply context-specific methods, tools, and tactics
  • Work independently with little or no supervision
  • May provide guidance to other less experienced team members
  • Experience leading change activities, including vision setting, leadership/change sponsor alignment and engagement, stakeholder analysis, impact identification, readiness assessment, communication strategies, training plans, and measurement of adoption
  • Experience coaching leadership and project team members to guide them through the change management process
  • Ability to think and act strategically and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
